Terence Atmane vs Rinky Hijikata prediction

Terence Atmane is looking to arrest a noticeable slump in form as he begins his Almaty Open campaign. The Frenchman has retired from his last two matches, with the latest being in the deciding set of his qualifying match against Bernard Tomic at the Shanghai Masters. Atmane’s best result of the campaign was a run to the quarter-finals of the Mexican Open, but he is in danger of moving outside the world’s top 100 in the rankings.

He will go up against Rinky Hijikata. The Australian lost in the first-round of Shanghai to Roman Safiullin in straight sets. He also failed to qualify for the Japan Open after a defeat to former world number three Stefanos Tsitsipas. There have still been positives for Hijikata in 2026, with the highlight being a round-of-16 appearance at Indian Wells. This included impressive wins over Luciano Darderi and Alexander Bublik.
