Ashlyn Krueger vs Janice Tjen prediction

Janice Tjen claimed back-to-back wins for the first time since February with a decent run in Wuhan.

The Indonesian had been picking up regular victories without making much impact in tournaments but will be buoyed by her recent results.

The sixth seed will meet Ashlyn Krueger for the second time here having lost in straight sets to the American on grass in Birmingham earlier in the year.

Krueger is definitely a tougher proposition on the turf and hasn’t made much impression since Wimbledon, although she also strung a good sequence together in Wuhan. 

Ranking-wise there isn’t too much in it, but Tien does sit higher and her preference for hardcourt as well as the part of the world the tournament is in leads us to think she may have the edge.
