Daniil Medvedev vs Terence Atmane prediction

Daniil Medvedev began the defence of his Almaty Open title with a dominant win over Sho Shimabukuro. The top seed was immensely strong on serve, winning 6-2 6-1. Medvedev also advanced to the semi-finals of the China Open and Shanghai Masters, along with a title at the end of last month in Hangzhou. Overall, the former world number one has picked up 12 wins from his last 14 matches overall.

His next opponent is Terence Atmane. The Frenchman squeezed past Mattia Bellucci in three tight sets. Bellucci had won a Challenger event in Jinan just a few days earlier, and he was on course to extend his six-match winning run after going ahead after the first set. However, Atmane fought back to win 6-7 (4) 7-6 (2) 7-6 (5). 

The head-to-head is 2-0 in favour of Medvedev. They faced each other earlier this year at the Halle Open, with the Russian winning in straight sets. He will be the heavy favourite to win again.
