Borges is taking full advantage of the lucky loser spot he picked up on Tuesday morning. After overcoming Moise Kouame 6-3, 6-1, he comfortably dispatched Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday.

The Portuguese is playing with complete freedom after being handed that reprieve, and that is making him incredibly dangerous right now.

He takes on an equally dangerous opponent in Ignacio Buse, with the 22-year-old Peruvian coming off arguably the biggest win of his career after dispatching Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday.

Buse beat Zizou Bergs 6-2, 6-4 in the first round on Monday and was then able to frustrate Medvedev, who pressed the self-destruct button, with the Peruvian taking full advantage.

We strongly like the look of Borges at the moment. He is playing really good tennis, being aggressive and taking his chances, and it is paying dividends. That run may well end at some stage, but we fancy his chances against Buse.
