Novak Djokovic vs Rinky Hijikata prediction

Novak Djokovic was in fine form on Tuesday as he came from a set down to beat the in-form Valentin Vacherot 6-7, 7-5, 6-1.

Djokovic looked very comfortable on the Paris hard court as he gradually dismantled Vacherot. The consistency and quality of his play were outstanding, which led to Vacherot becoming frustrated and making a whole host of unforced errors as Djokovic ran out a comfortable winner in the end.

Djokovic will be confident coming into this match against Rinky Hijikata, whom he has beaten on both previous occasions they have met, with both meetings coming in the 2025 season.

Hijikata has come through three matches to reach this stage, beating Jaime Faria, Vit Kopriva and Luciano Darderi, all in straight sets. The 25-year-old Australian will come into this game knowing he has nothing to lose, and he will give it everything he has.

It is hard to make any kind of case for him, however. Djokovic completely dominated him in both of their previous matches, winning 6-3, 6-3 in Brisbane and 6-0, 7-6 in Miami.

Once Djokovic settled into his match against Vacherot, he looked outstanding, and he should be able to maintain that level to ease past Hijikata here.
