Tommy Paul vs Holger Rune prediction

It has been another incredibly strong season for Tommy Paul, and the 29-year-old American is ending it in good form. He comes to Paris with plenty of confidence behind him.

He has been handed a tough assignment, however, as he comes up against Holger Rune. The 23-year-old Dane has plummeted down the rankings after almost a year out of action with an Achilles injury.

Rune returned to the ATP Tour at the start of October, and he picked up a couple of valuable wins at the Swiss Indoors in Basel last week against Quentin Halys and Hubert Hurkacz, before losing to eventual champion Valentin Vacherot in the quarter-finals.

Rune is stepping it up match by match and looking sharper all the time, but this will not be easy against a player as solid as Paul.

Paul is as consistent as they come, and with a certain level of performance almost a given from the American, our sense is that he will just be too strong as Rune continues to get up to speed.
