Ben Shelton vs Cameron Norrie prediction

It has been some season for Ben Shelton, but the American has not been at his best in recent weeks and was stunned by Swiss wildcard Jerome Kym at the Swiss Indoors last week. We should see a completely different and much more focused version of Shelton here.

He picked up the title at the Canadian Open this year, so he already has an ATP Masters 1000 crown under his belt this season, and he will be hoping to do well in Paris, where he reached the quarter-finals last year.

He has been handed a tricky start on day two as he faces Cameron Norrie, who came through a three-set battle with Matteo Arnaldi on Monday. It is a quick turnaround for the 31-year-old, but Norrie will be high on confidence after that win and will compete as hard as ever.

Norrie can also take some solace from the fact that he beat Shelton in their only previous meeting, at Cincinnati back in 2022. Shelton has come on leaps and bounds since then, however, and in this battle of the left-handers, we have to lean towards the hugely talented Shelton to progress.
