Arthur Rinderknech vs Francisco Cerundolo prediction
Arthur Rinderknech will be hoping for a good week in his native France. The 31-year-old returns to Paris, where he has had little joy in recent years, and he comes into this event in relatively poor form, so he is going to have to raise his game if he is to enjoy this week.
He takes on Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo, who has reached the third round in each of his last three appearances in Paris.
Cerundolo has also had a relatively lean time in the last few weeks, although he has still picked up wins over the likes of Jakub Mensik and Botic van de Zandschulp since reaching the round of 16 at the US Open, where he beat Taylor Fritz.
Cerundolo is clearly better on clay, but he has become something of an all-rounder in recent years, and we fancy him to have the edge over Rinderknech here. We can see him frustrating the home support.
