Jodie Burrage vs Vaishnavi Adkar prediction

Jodie Burragge’s latest tournament appearance came at the Wrexham ITF W100 last month, where she reached the semi-finals before losing to Hannah Klugman. Burrage also defeated Rebecca Sramkova in Beijing qualifying in September, although she subsequently lost to Mai Hontama. She has 13 wins from 18 hard court matches in 2026.

The Briton faces Vaishnavi Adkar in the first-round of the Chennai Open. Adkar is the highest ranked women’s singles player in India but still required a wild card to compete at the event. She won the Kalaburagi ITF W35 title, beating Ankita Raina in the final. However, her latest appearance ended in a disappointing 6-0 6-1 quarter-final defeat to Elena Milovanovic at the Monastir W35 towards the end of October.

Burrage possesses considerably more experience against established WTA opposition, and I expect her to dictate plenty of the rallies. Adkar does have home support on her side, but this is likely to be a tough match for her.
