Alex Molcan vs Titouan Droguet prediction

Alex Molcan had two incredibly difficult qualifying matches against Daniel Altmaier and Nuno Borges over the weekend, as he progressed to claim his spot in the main draw for just the second time.

Molcan made the first round back in 2022 before being eliminated, and he will be looking to do something he has not done before. His form in recent weeks has been solid, with a sprinkling of good wins on the main tour, and he will be desperate to get a win here.

He comes up against Titouan Droguet, who makes the main draw in Paris for the first time in his career. He has had a number of firsts this year as he has established himself as a regular feature on the ATP Tour, and the 25-year-old Frenchman will be desperate to get a win in front of his home crowd.

His form on the Challenger Tour has been pretty good in recent times, with a title at the Cassis Open Provence in mid-September and a win in Saint-Tropez at the end of the month. Whether he can carry that onto the ATP Tour remains to be seen, but a partisan home crowd will certainly help him.

Droguet has the home crowd firmly behind him, but we much prefer the body of work of Molcan. The Slovak has experience on his side, and we fancy him to edge what could be a tight match.
