Cameron Norrie vs Matteo Arnaldi prediction

Britain’s Cameron Norrie will be hoping to end the season in some style. He reached the third round at this event last year, and even though his recent form has not been the best, he always competes hard.

Norrie takes on Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi, who has also been in pretty mediocre form in recent times. Clay is unquestionably his favoured surface, and he has yet to pick up a main-draw win at this event.

Arnaldi has the edge in the head-to-head, having beaten Norrie on a hard court at the US Open back in 2023, but that was some time ago now.

Norrie competes as hard as ever, even at the age of 31, and the left-hander will be confident of getting the win over his Italian opponent, who is six years his junior.

With neither player coming into this in particularly strong form, our preference is for the Brit to progress to the second round.
