Ignacio Buse vs Zizou Bergs prediction

Peruvian 22-year-old Ignacio Buse is making his debut at the Paris Masters this week. After winning a couple of ATP Tour titles earlier in the year, Buse looks like he has been running out of gas in recent weeks.

He flew up the rankings following his Hamburg Open triumph in May and his title in Winston-Salem in August, but he has had very little to shout about since then.

It is a couple of months since he won his last singles match, so it will be interesting to see what kind of condition the 22-year-old is in as he arrives in Paris.

He takes on Belgium’s Zizou Bergs, who has enjoyed some good performances in recent times. Not only did Bergs beat Buse 6-0, 6-3 at the Shanghai Masters, he followed that up with a stunning win over Carlos Alcaraz before losing to Tommy Paul in the round of 16.

Those kinds of results will give Bergs plenty of confidence, even though this has not been as good a season as last year, and his win over Buse will be a further boost. Barring any complacency, we fully expect him to follow that up with another win here.
