Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs Moise Kouame prediction

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina returns to action after a triumphant Asian leg of the ATP Tour, which saw him win the Chengdu Open and the Shanghai Masters in the space of a few weeks.

His win over Hubert Hurkacz in the Chengdu final was impressive enough, but he went on to beat Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals in Shanghai and then Spanish prodigy Rafael Jodar in the final, in what has arguably been the best month of his career.

He pulled out of the Swiss Indoors last week through illness, but the break should mean he is well rested and ready to go in Paris.

He takes on 17-year-old French starlet Moise Kouame, who has enjoyed some bright moments this year, most notably at Roland Garros, where he became the youngest man to reach the third round of a Grand Slam since Rafael Nadal. The youngster will be fired up to do well in this one.

Barring complacency, however, it is hard to see anything other than a Davidovich Fokina win. The Spaniard is playing some great tennis right now, and we do not see a fairy-tale win for the 17-year-old.
