Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Alex de Minaur prediction
Tomas Martin Etcheverry is coming off a hard-fought three-set win over Andrey Rublev on Tuesday. The Argentine won 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 as he ground out an incredibly close match.
He fired down 20 aces, which proved just enough to beat Rublev, but he is likely going to have to play even better if he is to progress against Alex de Minaur here.
De Minaur is coming off a fantastic week in Vienna, where he beat Tomas Machac, Learner Tien, Matteo Berrettini and world number one Alexander Zverev before losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
Those points were key for de Minaur’s hopes of reaching the ATP Finals, and that will be his motivation this week as he looks to ensure he does enough to seal his spot in Turin.
De Minaur has won his last two matches against Etcheverry, and barring any physical troubles from his run in Vienna, his quality of play right now should be far too much for the Argentine. We fully expect the Australian to win, and to win comfortably.
Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Alex de Minaur tip: Alex de Minaur to win 2-0
