Alex Michelsen vs Carlos Alcaraz prediction

Alex Michelsen produced an outstanding display on Tuesday evening to come back from a set down and beat Jiri Lehecka 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.

The 22-year-old American played some great tennis, creating 15 break points on Lehecka’s serve and converting four of them. His own serve was strong, but his return game was outstanding, and it is going to have to be the same, if not better, against Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz is coming off yet another title after winning in Vienna, where he beat Alex de Minaur in the final and did not drop a single set in his five wins during the week. The 23-year-old Spaniard will be keen to keep that going as he aims to finish the season in style.

Alcaraz faced Michelsen just a few weeks ago in Tokyo in what was a really competitive match, winning 7-6, 4-6, 6-1. Michelsen can push him all the way once again, but against a man who has lost only five times on the ATP Tour this season, it is very hard to make a case for him getting the win.

We expect Alcaraz to come through, but we would not rule out another long, drawn-out match.
