Marseille vs Strasbourg prediction
Roberto De Zerbi has now, predictably, departed Marseille after a tenure that was as Marseille as it gets with some remarkably good highs but some seriously awful showings and off-field controversy. The most recent of those woeful performances came last weekend as they succumbed to a 5-0 defeat to a previously stuttering Paris Saint-Germain side at the Parc des Princes.
They now face a Strasbourg side that began life under the management of former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Gary O’Neil very well but they have now suffered back-to-back defeats ahead of this one. Losing to PSG was forgivable but they then lost 2-1 to Le Havre at Stade Oceane last weekend.
That result means that Strasbourg have won four and lost two of the six O’Neil matches and it should be quite an entertaining encounter down on the south coast on Saturday.
