Arsenal preview: Chasing the quadruple

Arsenal come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie the other day, courtesy of a late equalising penalty scored by former Leverkusen man Kai Havertz.

The hosts are into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, too, as well as having the EFL Cup final to look forward to, having also recently extended their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.

Everton preview: Pushing for Europe

David Moyes and his Everton side come into this one on the back of back-to-back victories as they chase a potential top eight finish and European qualification for the first time in about a decade.

The Toffees most recently defeated Burnley by two goals to nil at the Hill Dickinson Stadium about ten days or so ago, courtesy of strikes from James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in either half.

Arsenal team news: Nothing fresh

Following on from their draw with Leverkusen in midweek, Mikel Arteta has no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues to deal with ahead of the visit of Everton.

Leandro Trossard could return, as could Martin Odegaard, with Arteta saying 'let's see' with regards to that duo, while Mikel Merino is a long-term injury absentee.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Eze, Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Gyokeres, Trossard

Unavailable: Merino (Injured)

Questionable: Odegaard (Fitness), Trossard (Fitness)

Everton team news: Nothing new

In his pre-match press conference, David Moyes has not reported any fresh injury concerns with Jarrad Branthwaite expected to be fit and availabke after having ten days off.

The Toffees do have some confirmed injury absentees as the experienced Seamus Coleman is sidelined alongside attacking duo Jack Grealish and Carlos Alcaraz.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Branthwaite; Garner, Gueye; Armstrong, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Barry

Unavailable: Grealish (Injured), Alcaraz (Injured)

Questionable: Travers (Injured)

Arsenal vs Everton prediction

Everton have struggled in large parts in Merseyside this season, with a tricky start to life at their new stadium. However, on the road, they have been very impressive with David Moyes coming into his own tactically. Up against his former Everton captain Mikel Arteta, who himself has now earned a reputation for quite dull, set-piece based and defensive football, this may not be a thriller for the neutral but the Gunners have to remain favourites in their pursuit of silverware.

Arsenal vs Everton tip: Arsenal to win & under 3.5 goals
