Monaco preview: In-form Monaco

Sebastian Pocognoli is finally finding form in charge of Monaco after his move from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in October, with the Monegasque beginning this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just outside of the top six in Ligue 1.

The home team come into this one on the back of a brilliant 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes last weekend, courtesy of goals from Maghnes Akliouche, Aleksandr Golovin and Folarin Balogun.

Brest preview: Mid-table Brest

Stade Brest, under the management of former Sunderland player Eric Roy, have snuck back into the top-half of the Ligue 1 table ahead of the 26th match day of the 2025/26 campaign.

The visitors managed to defeat Le Havre by two goals to nil at Stade Francis-Le Ble last weekend with a first-half stoppage-time goal from Romain Del Castillo before a 71st minute winner scored by cult hero Ludovic Ajorque.

Monaco team news: Defensive injuries

Monaco are dealing with key defensive injury issues for this one with both Vanderson and Caio Henrique sidelined for the Monegasque alongside Eric Dier, Paul Pogba and Takumi Minamino.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Kohn; Kehrer, Zakaria, Faes; Teze, Camara, Bamba, Adingra; Akliouche, Balogun, Ansu Fati

Brest team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Brest to deal with for this one as versatile striker Mama Balde remains sidelined due to a quadriceps issue for the visitors.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Coudert; Lala, Chardonnet, Diaz, Locko; Chotard, Magnetti; Del Castillo, Doumbia, Dina Ebimbe; Ajorque

Unavailable: Balde (Injured)

Questionable:

Monaco vs Brest prediction

Monaco’s impressive 3-1 win over defending champions and league leaders PSG means that they are now unbeaten in their last seven matches in Ligue 1, losing just one of their last ten matches across all competitions. Brest are also in excellent form with last week’s victory against Le Havre extending their unbeaten run of form to six matches and the form of the two sides would suggest quite a good watch for the neutral down in the principality of Monaco.

Monaco vs Brest tip: Both teams to score
