Esperance de Tunis finished second in Group D of the CAF Champions League, surprisingly finishing below Stade Malien at the top. ES Tunis are unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions.
Al Ahly, coached by Jess Thorup, finished unbeaten in the group stages but they have bee inconsistent in the Egyptian Premier League of late as they sit behind Zamalek and Pyramids FC domestically.
