Udinese are in a bit of trouble at the moment as the Friulians now welcome an AC Milan side to the Bluenergy Stadium that were humiliated in midweek.

Udinese preview: Poor start

Holding onto his job, former Legia Warsaw boss Kosta Runjaic is in charge of an Udinese side that have won one of their opening seven matches as they head into this one on the back of a five-match losing streak in Serie A.

The Friulians come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of an improved but perennial strugglers Lecce last week due to goals scored by Kialonda Gaspar, Kelvin N’Dri and Jordan Siebert in the North East.

AC Milan preview: Hammered in Bournemouth

Ruben Amorim and his AC Milan side head to Friuli on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of AFC Bournemouth in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League the other day and it was a result that flattered the Rossoneri.

The seven-time European champions had been showing signs of improvement as Amorim gets his feet under the desk at San Siro, and that was shown last weekend as they defeated Atalanta by three goals to two at the Giuseppe Meeazza.

Udinese team news: Alaba out

Fairly predictably, David Alaba, who has had a career ravaged by injuries, is now sidelined due to a calf issue for the hosts with attacking injuries including Vakoun Bayo, Idrissa Gueye and the versatile Nicolo Zaniolo.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Okoye; Solet, Palma, Ebosse; Vojvoda, Karlstrom, Oier Zarraga, Kamara; Ekkelenkamp, Chakvetadze; Davis

Unavailable: Alaba (Injured), Gueye (Injured), Bayo (Injured)

Questionable: Zaniolo (Fitness)

AC Milan team news: Ramos a doubt

Big money summer signing Goncalo Ramos has recently found some form but he is now a major doubt for this one due to a calf injury with Matteo Gabbia, Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuel Chukwueze all confirmed absentees.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Mario Gila, De Winter, Pavlovic; Hutchinson, Musah, Modric, Diego Moreira; Rabiot, Pulisic; Cisse

Unavailable: Gabbia (Injured), Saelemaekers (Injured), Chukwueze (Injured)

Questionable: Ramos (Injured)

Udinese vs AC Milan prediction

AC Milan have now lost two of their opening three matches in the UEFA Europa League but they begin this weekend sitting tucked inside the top four in Serie A as one of four unbeaten teams domestically with four victories and three draws thus far. They head to an Udinese side that have supporters unhappy with the ownership and in a bit of a mess on the pitch so, despite their humiliation in Bournemouth, Milan remain firm favourites.
