Atalanta preview: ‘Sarri-ball’ in Bergamo
Atalanta come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Ajax in the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam in midweek due to late goals scored by Tolu Arokodare and Abdellah Ouazane.
The Bergamasci have started fairly unconvincingly under the management of former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, with four defeats in their last five matches in Serie A after being beaten 3-2 by AC Milan at San Siro last weekend.
Frosinone preview: Impressive Frosinone
Following promotion to the top-flight last season, Frosinone have been entertaining to watch at the start of this campaign and they have done well, too, as they sit tucked inside the top six and the European spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.
The Romans most recently entertainingly defeated Sassuolo by four goals to two at Stadio Benito Stripe last week, with in-form striker Antonio Raimondo notching a hat-trick in that one.
Atalanta team news: A lot of injuries
Sead Kolasinac has been ruled out for this one alongside Giacomo Raspadori with Franck Kessie also now a fresh doubt as Giorgio Scalvini works his way back to full fitness, too.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Carnesecchi; Bellanova, Zappacosta, Kristensen, Bernasconi; Samardzic, Ederson, Pasalic; De Ketelaere, Krstovic, Rowe
Unavailable: Hien (Injured), Kossounou (Injured), Kolasinac (Injured), Raspadori (Injured)
Questionable: Scalvini (Injured), Kessie (Injured), Sulemana (Fitness)
Frosinone team news: Nothing fresh
There are no fresh injury concerns for Frosinone to deal with as they travel to Bergamo this week. Austria international defensive midfielder Florian Grillitsch does remain sidelined due to a thigh injury.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Palmisani; Oyono, Cittadini, Monterisi, Bracaglia; Masini, Calo; Ghedjemis, Schmid, Kvernadze; Raimondo
Unavailable: Grillitsch (Injured)

Atalanta vs Frosinone prediction
Frosinone have lost just one of their opening seven matches and that came against Napoli a few weeks ago away from home in a game in which they were very harshly beaten 3-0 at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Maurizio Sarri’s style has gone stale in recent seasons and, despite some improved performances, it is beginning to look that way again so perhaps siding with the visitors may well be a decent value bet for this one.
Atalanta vs Frosinone tip: Double chance – Frosinone to win or draw
