Mariano Navone vs Holger Rune Prediction
Clay is unquestionably Mariano Navone’s favourite surface and all of his appearances in a final (two on the ATP Tour and 11 on the ATP Challenger Tour) have come on that surface.
The Argentine picked up a good 6-4 6-4 win over compatriot Francisco Comesana on Monday and that will give him a boost after a slow start to 2025 on hard courts.
He now meets Dane Holger Rune who enjoys playing on clay as much as any surface too. He looked to find some form in the Australian Open and reached the fourth round only to lose to eventual winner Jannik Sinner.
That will give him some confidence coming into this match with Navone as will the fact he beat Navone in their only other previous meeting. That came in Madrid last year on clay although it was a tough battle which he edged in the deciding set.
We can foresee a similar match here though we would not rule Navone out. Consider total game betting and we expect some long sets, and potentially three of them also.
