Alexander Zverev vs Arthur Fery prediction
Alexander Zverev secured the world number one ranking for the first time in his career after beating Tallon Griekspoor in straight sets at the Vienna Open. Zverev, who won this event back in 2021, dominated on serve, winning 6-4 7-5. The two-time Grand Slam champion lost to Griekspoor earlier this year at the Canadian Open, but this was his 10th victory over the Dutchman. He will now face Arthur Fery for a place in the last four.
Fery claimed one of the biggest wins of the career as he ended Lorenzo Musetti’s recent winning run in the round-of-16. The 24-year-old fought back from a break down in the deciding set, winning 6-4 5-7 6-4.
These two met for the first time earlier this year, with Zverev ending Fery’s dream run at Wimbledon in the semi-finals. He was rarely troubled, winning 7-6 (0) 6-2 6-4. I expect the German to have far too much for Fery once again.
