Laslo Djere has been in fine form this week and the Serb will be desperate to reach the final after his efforts in Buenos Aires.
He had to come through two rounds of qualifying last weekend and then has played another three matches to reach this stage and his confidence has grown with every win. After beating Alejandro Tabilo in the round of 16, Djere took on Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild in the quarters and duly beat him 7-6 6-3.
He now meets another Brazilian in Joao Fonseca and he too will be full of belief after a good week so far.
The 18-year-old has found himself up against three Argentines – Tomas Etcheverry, Federico Coria and Mariano Navone – and he has managed to overcome them and the fervent home support they received.
He will have to find the same levels of motivation against Djere if he is to make it through to Sunday’s final.
We like Fonseca’s chances here but it will not be easy against Djere. The Serb is confident, playing good tennis, and will pose Fonseca some challenging questions. Fonseca is our pick but we recommend the game betting market with over 21.5.
