Uros Medic: The Doctor" is looking to put someone to sleep
Known as “The Doctor,” Uros Medic is a 32-year-old Serbian finisher who lives and dies by the sword. Holding a professional record of 10-3, Medic has finished all 10 of his wins and has also been stopped in all 3 of his losses. It’s a stat that perfectly encapsulates his “kill or be killed” approach.
With a UFC record of 4-3, Medic enters this bout looking to rebound from a brutal first-round KO loss to Punahele Soriano. Prior to that, he showcased his power by dispatching veteran Tim Means in under a round. Medic is a pressure-based kickboxer with sharp, technical striking. He thrives in a firefight but often pays the price for his aggressive style, with his chin proving a liability against stronger competition. That said, at this level, Medic’s crisp striking and power make him a serious threat.
Gilbert Urbina: Fighting to keep his UFC dream alive
Standing across from him is 29-year-old American Gilbert Urbina, who brings a 7-3 record into the cage. Urbina hasn’t had the smoothest UFC run, holding just a 1-2 record since debuting in the Ultimate Fighter Season 29 finale, where he was submitted by Bryan Battle. He rebounded with an impressive body-kick TKO over Orion Cosce, but stumbled again with a first-round KO loss to Charles Radtke in his last outing.
Urbina is a tall striker with decent grappling skills, though he rarely uses his reach effectively. Like Medic, he’s not afraid to throw down, but his tendency to brawl—combined with a questionable chin—makes him vulnerable, especially against powerful strikers like Medic. His tools are there, but his defensive lapses and durability issues have cost him at the UFC level.
Uros Medic vs Gilbert Urbina prediction
This fight has all the makings of a classic Medic showcase. Urbina’s willingness to engage in wild exchanges and his struggles with absorbing damage play directly into Medic’s strengths. While both men are dangerous, Medic has fought and beaten tougher competition, only falling to high-level opponents like Jalin Turner and Myktybek Orolbai.
