Veronica Hardy: Hardy looks to rebound after a loss in her previous appearance snapped a three fight win streak
Prior to dropping a unanimous decision to Eduarda Moura in her last appearance, Veronica Hardy (9-5-1) had quietly put together an impressive three fight win streak since returning from a three year long absence in 2023. The well rounded Venezuelan flyweight has seemingly drawn on the expertise of her husband, former UFC fighter and analyst, Dan Hardy, in her corner to vastly improve her game since starting her UFC tenure with a 1-3 run. As such, she's dropped just a single fight since her return.
Brogan Walker: Walker returns after an absence of more than two years in search of her first UFC win
The flyweight tournament runner-up on TUF 30, Brogan Walker (7-4) has yet to score a UFC win in two attempts to date. “The Bear” succumbed to a third round stoppage loss in the finale against Juliana Miller, before also coming up short to Iasmin Lucindo by decision in her sophomore appearance. It’s also worth noting that loss came in April 2023; the 36 year old Walker hasn’t fought in almost two years, raising legitimate questions about what version of her will return to action after such a long time on the shelf.

Hardy is an enormous favorite on paper here, and with good reason. In addition to being considerably younger and more well rounded than her foe, Hardy has legitimate wins over UFC level competition, an achievement that her opponent cannot currently lay a claim to.
With just four combined stoppages in twenty six combined fights, neither of these fighters have proved to be much of a finishing threat historically. As such, this looks almost certain to end in a hard fought decision, a blueprint to victory in the UFC that Hardy has proven herself capable of following in the past.
The Venezuelan has looked much improved since returning in 2023 after a three year hiatus; Hardy’s only loss since her comeback has come against the streaking 12-1 prospect, Eduarda Moura. As such, it seems to safe to assume that she has enough grit and talent to edge past an aging fighter who has yet to pick up a UFC win and is clearly declining in quality.
