Real Oviedo preview: Relegation-bound

Real Oviedo have struggled throughout this campaign, with odd decisions off the pitch and woeful performances on it, following their long awaited promotion back to the top-flight via the second-tier playoffs last season.

The hosts did show some fight through the early stages of spring before heading into the March international break on the back of an entertaining 4-2 defeat to fellow strugglers Levante a couple of weeks ago.

Sevilla preview: Change in Seville

Sevilla made a big managerial change in the international break with Argentine coach Matias Almeyda replaced by impressive former Real Mallorca and Deportivo Alaves boss Luis Garcia Plaza.

That is because the Andalusians succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at home to Valencia a couple of weeks ago, leaving them involved in a tricky relegation battle in La Liga once again, as the fallen giants continue to underperform.

Real Oviedo team news: Fresh injuries

Angola international centre-back David Carmo, formerly of FC Porto, is sidelined for Oviedo this weekend, alongside versatile midfielder Luka Ilic, dealing with an Achilles injury.

Predicted XI (4-4-1-1): Aaron; Nacho Vidal, Bailly, David Costas, Javi Lopez; Hassan, Sibo, Santi Cazorla, Ilyas Chaira; Alberto Reina; Fede Vinas

Unavailable: Carmo (Injured), Ilic (Injured)

Questionable: Lucas Ahijado (Ineligible), Dendoncker (Ineligible), Ejaria (Ineligible)

Sevilla team news: Agoume suspended

Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume is now missing through suspension for the Sevillanos this weekend, while experienced centre-back Marcao is still unavailable due to injury.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Vlachodimos; Cesar Azpilicueta, Gudelj, Kike Salas, Suazo; Juanlu, Sow, Joan Jordan; Vargas, Maupay, Sanchez

Unavailable: Marcao (Injured), Agoume (Suspended)

Questionable: Peque (Injured)

Real Oviedo vs Sevilla prediction

The Sevillanos begin this weekend's round of fixtures sitting just three points and three places outside of the bottom three and the relegation places. Oviedo had been stubborn and a bit more difficult to play against but they are an ideal opponent for Sevilla to try and discover some so-called 'new manager bounce' at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere in the north of Spain.

Real Oviedo vs Sevilla tip: Sevilla to win & under 3.5 goals
