Liverpool preview: Fightback at Anfield

Liverpool beat Villarreal 4-3 at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, recovering from 2-0 down. Alexis Mac Allister scored twice, with Ronald Araujo and Florian Wirtz also on target, and the Reds sit second in the league phase table on three wins from three.

It followed a 2-1 comeback win at nine-man Brentford in the Premier League, with Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak scoring after the break. The Reds are still winless in their last five home Premier League games (D4 L1), a run stretching back to last season, so Anfield is where they will want to kick on.

Brighton preview: Five-star display against Palace

Brighton thrashed Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Amex in their last Premier League game, scoring three times in the opening ten minutes, to continue their superb start to the season under Fabian Hurzeler.

The Seagulls were then held to a goalless draw at Jablonec in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday, which extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight matches.
