This is a rare all-Southern League Premier South tie in the first round, which means one of these sides is guaranteed a place in the second round. Plymouth Parkway also have the advantage of home comforts, with Berkhamsted facing a long trip of over 200 miles.
Parkway reached this stage without needing a replay, winning 3-1 at Gosport Borough, 2-0 at Frome Town, 2-1 against Horsham and 2-0 against Chertsey Town. They are fourth in the table and have beaten both Sholing (3-1) and Wimborne Town (2-1) in the league, but they did lose 4-2 at Hanworth Villa on Saturday before beating Uxbridge 3-1 on Tuesday.
Berkhamsted have scored 11 goals in four ties, winning 3-2 at Bishop’s Stortford, 4-1 against Hendon, 2-0 at Redditch United, and then beating National League side Southend United 2-1 away. They are 12th in the league, though, drawing 2-2 with Gloucester City and 1-1 with Sholing, and they lost 2-1 at home to Cray Wanderers in the FA Trophy.
