Lazio preview: Lacklustre but improving

Maurizio Sarri has dealt with some difficult sircumstances as Lazio boss but the Romans are in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and pushing for a top seven finish and potential European qualification from Serie A.

The Romans come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win against Bologna a couple of weeks ago, extending their winning streak to three matches after victories against Sassuolo and AC Milan.

Parma preview: Solid Parma

Under the management of Mikel Arteta's former assistant coach at Arsenal, Carlos Cuesta, Parma have been very steady and solid as they sit comfortably in the middle-of-the-table in the Italian top-flight.

Parma most recently succumbed to a 2-0 loss at home to Cremonese a couple of weeks ago before the break, extending their winless run of form to four matches in Serie A with two draws and then two defeats.

Lazio team news: Several injuries

Lazio have several key injury doubts for this one, such as Mario Gila, Daniel Cataldi and Toma Basic; while Ivan Provedel remains sidelined alongside Nicolo Rovella and Mattia Zaccagni.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Motta; Marusic, Hysaj, Romagnoli, Tavares; Dele-Bashiru, Patric, Taylor; Isaksen, Maldini, Pedro

Unavailable: Provedel (Injured), Gigot (Injured), Rovella (Injured), Zaccagni (Injured)

Questionable: Mario Gila (Injured), Cataldi (Injured), Basic (Injured)

Parma team news: Troilo suspended

Key defender Mariano Troilo is now missing through suspension for this weekend, while the versatile Benjamin Cremaschi is also sidelined alongside Matija Frigan.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Suzuki; Circati, Ndiaye, Valenti; Keita; Britschgi, Ondrejka, Sorensen, Valeri; Strefezza, Mateo Pellegrino

Unavailable: Troilo (Suspended), Cremaschi (Injured), Frigan (Injured)

Questionable: Adrian Bernabe (Injured), Almqvist (Injured)

Lazio vs Parma prediction

Parma, as to be expected with Mikel Arteta's defensive and dogged style inspiring the style of Carlos Cuesta, are difficult to play and score against. Lazio lack attacking cohesion and fluency in the final third, too, and so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected for this one in the Roman capital city on Saturday evening.

Lazio vs Parma tip: Under 2.5 goals
