Kalinn Williams vs Andreas Gustafsson prediction
Kalinn ‘Khaos’ Williams (15-4) returns to the Octagon aiming to bounce back from the submission loss last time out against Gabriel Bonfim in February. He had been on a strong run prior to that with four wins in his last five, so he will not be too disheartened and will fancy his chances of winning this one.
He was initially slated to face Uros Medic but his opponent was forced to withdraw through injury so newcomer Andreas Gustafsson (11-2) got the call with just over one weeks’ notice.
The Swedish fighter impressed on the regional circuits in Europe with his only two losses coming on the scorecards.
He gets his shot after winning in Dana White’s Contender Series last August and his last five wins have all come by TKO. He is a fearsome puncher and he will be hoping that power transitions into the UFC.
With both men possessing plenty of knockout power, this should make for an exciting fight but we have to lean towards Williams to get the win. He has had the full camp and has the greater experience. Gustafsson has a puncher’s chance but Williams is the man we favour. The preferred play is on this one not going the distance to cover Gustafsson springing the upset.
Prediction: Fight will not go the distance
