Azamat Murzakanov vs Brendson Ribeiro prediction
Azamat Murzakanov (14-0) has hit the ground running since joining the UFC in March 2022 as the Russian has won all four bouts in the Octagon and remains unbeaten in 14 professional MMA fights.
Murzakanov has stepped up as the quality of opponent has increased and he will fancy his chances of doing so once again at UFC 316. 10 of his 14 wins have come by knockout and he has already won Performance of the Night in two of his four UFC fights.
He takes on Brendson Ribeiro (17-7 with one no contest) who has had 25 professional MMA fights at the age of 28. The experience Brazilian has only had four fights in the UFC however like Murzakanov and after losing his first two fights, he has since won his last two.
The concern around Ribeiro has to be his chin having been knocked out on three occasions so far. That does not bode well when coming up against such a dangerous fighter like Murzakanov.
It is hard to find any weakness in Murzakanov so far and he simply has to be favoured to get another win. We expect him to enjoy some success in striking or on the ground and we fully expect him to get the stoppage and extend his winning streak.
