Juventus preview: Chasing UCL

Juventus come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo in their most recent outing a couple of weeks ago, with Kenan Yildiz’ 14th minute opener cancelled out by Andrea Pinamonti scoring a second-half equaliser.

The Bianconeri have now extended their unbeaten run of form to four matches with Juve beginning to find some form once again as they head into the run in, under the management of Luciano Spalletti.

Genoa preview: Mid-table Genoa

Ever since the appointment of Daniele De Rossi in early November, Genoa have been much-improved as they push into the middle-of-the-table but the Genovese did head into the break on the back of a loss in their most recent outing.

The visitors’ most recent outing saw them defeated by two goals to nil by Udinese at the Luigi Ferraris in Liguria due to second-half strikes scored by midfielder Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and former Watford striker Keinan Davis.

Juventus team news: Holm close

Former Bologna defender Emil Holm was close to making international duty with Sweden and the versatile full-back could be back involved this weekend.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Perin; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, McKennie, Yildiz; Boga

Unavailable:

Questionable: Holm (Fitness)

Genoa team news: Couple of injuries

Genoa head to Turin with a couple of injury doubts for this one on Monday as former Arsenal man Brooke Norton-Cuffy is potentially sidelined alongside West Ham United loanee Maxwel Cornet.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Biljow; Marcandalli, Ostigard, Johan Vasquez; Ellertsson, Frendrup, Malinovskiy, Caricol; Junior Messias, Vitinha; Colombo

Unavailable:

Questionable: Norton-Cuffy (Injured), Cornet (Injured)

Juventus vs Genoa prediction

Genoa have been much-improved since a nine-match winless start to the season which led to the sacking of former Juve midfielder Patrick Vieira. Juventus begin the match day sitting just three points behind Como in fourth and they will fancy themselves to pinch that spot in the final month and a half of the campaign. Genoa, though, should exploit quite an open Juve side, though, and so it should be quite a fun watch for the neutral in Turin.
