The chaotic but entertaining Eintracht Frankfurt continue their hunt for European football with the visit of a relegation-battling Cologne side on Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Sky Sports / US – ESPN

How to watch online: UK – Sky Go / US – ESPN+

Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Fun Frankfurt

Former Celje boss and Liverpool winger Albert Riera is a highly-rated coach and he has again been able to harness and enhance the exciting football in Frankfurt that has made them perhaps the most watchable team in Europe this season.

Frankfurt's most recent outing saw them succumb to a 2-1 defeat to Mainz a couple of weeks ago, ending what was a three-match unbeaten run of form. Their inconsistency is undermining some excellent performances.

Cologne preview: Struggling Koln

They now face a Cologne side that begin the week sitting just three points outside of the bottom three and the danger zone, having decided to part company with manager Lukas Kwasniok, replaced Rene Wagner on an interim basis.

That is because Cologne headed into the international break on the back of a 3-3 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach that extended their winless run of form to seven matches since defeating Wolfsburg in late-January.

Eintracht Frankfurt team news: A few issues

Frankfurt are dealing with a few issues for this one as defensive duo Nnamdi Collins and Nathaniel Brown are now dealing with injuries, while in-form Jean-Matteo Bahoya is a confirmed absentee.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Zetterer; Baum, Amenda, Theate, Knauff; Doan, Larsson, Chaibi; Kalimuendo, Burkardt, Uzun

Unavailable: Collins (Injured), Kristensen (Injured), Bahoya (Injured)

Questionable: Santos (Injured), Brown (Injured)

Cologne team news: Martel suspended

Key midfielder Eric Martel is missing through suspension for this one and they also have some fresh injury doubts in the middle of the park, too, such as Tom Krauss and Denis Huseinbasic.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Schwabe; Neumann, Van den Berg, Ozkacar, Lund; Johannesson, Kainz; Maina, Kaminski, El Mala; Ache

Unavailable: Kilian (Injured), Schmied (Injured), Martel (Suspended), Hubers (Injured)

Questionable: Castro-Montes (Injured), Krauss (Injured), Huseinbasic (Injured)

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Cologne prediction

In 27 Bundesliga matches featuring Frankfurt this season, there have been 101 goals - with that high-scoring nature replicated in both the UEFA Champions League and DFB-Pokal, too. Cologne are one of the more reactive sides in Germany's top-flight but recent weeks, notably that 3-3 draw with Gladbach, have seen them before stretched. A new regime may alter things slightly for the visitors but it remains the case that a high-scoring bet is always worthwhile when it comes to Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Cologne tip: Eintracht Frankfurt to win & over 2.5 goals
