Villarreal vs Getafe prediction
Inigo Perez had appeared to turn things around after a tough start to his reign in charge of Villarreal but he is now under major pressure. The Yellow Submarine were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Espanyol last week before a 6-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, having gone 4-0 down inside 17 minutes.
They now face a Getafe side that were also beaten in midweek with Jose Bordalas’ side beaten 1-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion in the UEFA Europa League. Getafe have struggled to balance domestic and European commitments this season but they did manage to come from behind to defeat Sevilla by three goals to one last weekend.
Getafe will be expected to be awkward to play against once against El Madrigal and they aren’t the type of team you want to be facing if you’re feeling fragile, as Villarreal will be.
Villarreal vs Getafe tip: Double chance – Getafe to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
