Key stats

  • Levante's last away La Liga win came at Balaídos – 3-2 on 12 May 2026 – and they are winless in seven away games since (D3 L4).
  • Levante have won five of their 11 La Liga visits to Celta since 1997/98 (D2 L4) – one more than Celta's four home wins in the fixture.
  • Celta, by contrast, have won eight of their 11 La Liga visits to Levante (D2 L1).
  • Celta lead the head-to-head in 22 La Liga meetings since 1997/98 (W12 D4 L6), and have scored in 17 consecutive meetings – failing to score in only one of the 22.
  • Coming into Matchweek 12, Celta have 12 points (W2 D6 L3), while Levante are 19th with seven points from ten games (W1 D4 L5) and have a game in hand.
  • Celta's six draws is the most in La Liga, and their games have averaged 1.82 goals – the lowest in the division – with ten goals scored and ten conceded.
  • Celta are unbeaten in four home games (W2 D2) since 13 September, but have failed to score in their last two games – 0-0 vs Betis and 3-0 at Rayo Vallecano.
  • Celta have scored only once in five away games this season (D4 L1), although three of those were 0-0 draws.
  • Levante are winless in seven La Liga games (D3 L4) since a 5-2 home win over Betis on 29 August, and have conceded in their last six.
  • Levante have scored three goals in six away games this season (D3 L3).
  • Levante's seven points from their first ten games is their fourth-lowest total at that stage in 16 La Liga seasons since 1997/98.
  • Levante have won only 22 of their 133 away La Liga games on a Sunday since 1997/98 (W22 D31 L80).

Celta Vigo vs Levante prediction

Celta Vigo come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League in midweek. That means that the Galicians have now won just two of their seven matches across all competitions since returning from the previous international break.

Luis Castro led Levante to safety last season with remarkable form in the second half of the season and the Valencians have continued to play in the same manner but without the consistent effectiveness as last year. They were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Atletico Madrid in their most recent outing.

Frustration at too many draws and a lack of incision in the final third could lead to Celta becoming more proactive here and that should suit a fun watch for the neutral given the way in which Levante play.
