Slovan Bratislava put in an impressive performance as they comfortably defeated Georgian champions Iberia 1999 by two goals to nil in the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie in Tbilisi, courtesy of first half goals scored by Andraz Sporar and Alasana Yirajang.
Slovan Bratislava were knocked out by surprise league phase qualifiers Kairat Almaty on penalties in the third qualifying round last season after they reached the league phase the year before. Iberia overcame Flora Tallinn in the first qualifying round with an entertaining 5-4 aggregate victory.
