FC Porto are again expected to be very strong this season as they return to being the dominant side in Portuguese football. Francesco Farioli is finally heading into a second season as a manager after leaving both Ajax and Nice after just a year.
Torreense finished third in Liga Portugal 2 last season and eventually lost in the play-offs and so remain in the second-tier. However, they managed to defeat Sporting CP in the Taca de Portugal final in May to win their first ever major honour.
Torreense have been one of the stories of the year in European football but, as Porto gear up for their league campaign, a comfortable win for the Dragons is to be expected at Estadio Cidade de Coimbra.
