Portland Timbers vs Seattle Sounders prediction
The Portland Timbers come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of ten-man Real Salt Lake at the weekend, a few days after an entertaining 2-2 draw against Dallas after the break for FIFA World Cup 2026 over the summer.
The Seattle Sounders are usually a very strong team but they have slipped out of the top seven and the Western Conference but the Sounders have now succumbed to back-to-back defeats against Austin and the Philadelphia Union.
The Portland Timbers haven’t been convincing since their return but they have been better than the Sounders and home advantage is worth backing here.
