New York City come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat of Chicago Fire at the weekend, having returned from MLS’ break for FIFA World Cup 2026 by beating the Columbus Crew, too, by two goals to one last week.
Toronto have again struggled throughout the campaign with just three victories in their 17 matches this season. The Canadians succumbed to a 2-1 loss to DC United last weekend after a goalless draw with the New England Revolution.
Toronto have struggled for goals and for a cutting edge to get over the line this year and NYCFC will be expected to make it three wins from three since their return to action.
