Michael Aswell vs Bolaji Oki prediction
Michael Aswell (10-2) has stepped up at just three days’ notice to replace the injured Marquel Mederos and he gets the chance to make his UFC debut. The 24-year-old, known as ‘The Texas Kid’, lost out in Dana White’s Contender Series in August last year by a split decision but will have earned credit with the top brass in the promotion for stepping in at such late notice.
He takes on ‘The Zulu Warrior’, Bolaji Oki (9-2), who is a graduate from Dana White’s Contender Series from back in August 2023. He won on his UFC debut against Timothy Cuamba back in February last year but was submitted by Chris Duncan in September to suffer his first loss in the Octagon.
That fight ended a nine-fight winning streak for Oki but he will be relishing this opportunity to get back on track here. Even if Aswell had a full training camp and preparations for this bout, we would still heavily favour Oki and we expect him to get the victory.
Prediction: Bolaji Oki to win
