Erin Blanchfield vs Maycee Barber prediction
Erin Blanchfield (13-2) has been on something of a tear in recent years having only lost of her last 11 bouts and her confidence is high coming into this one. Her sole loss came against the uber talented Manon Fiorot by decision but otherwise she has won 10 bouts and been highly impressive during that time.
Blanchfield has beaten everybody else put in front of her and she has been pretty dominant with her wrestling and impressive submission game.
Maycee Barber (14-2) is the woman that she will face across the Octagon and she too is on a streak having won her last six fights. She came in heavy for the weigh-in and will hand monies to Blanchfield and it will be interesting to see what kind of condition she comes in.
Barber is relentless and possesses some good power but we do not love the fact she came in overweight. Blanchfield has to take this deep and she can control this bout with her outstanding takedowns.
We see that being the key to victory here and we just see Blanchfield being able to control the fight for long enough to get the decision.
