Jafel Filho vs Allan Nascimento prediction
Jafel Filho (16-3) is coming into this fight with good confidence having won his last two fights in the UFC. Following a loss to Muhammad Mokaev on his UFC debut in March 2023, Filho has responded in style winning both his fights by submission against Daniel Barez and Ode Osbourne. While his record has been built primarily outside of the UFC, Filho’s quality has been clear to see in his first three bouts since joining the organisation and facing high-calibre opponents.
Allan Nascimento (20-6) returns to action for the first time in over two years. The Brazilian won his last two fights but those came in May 2022 against Jake Hadley and then January 2023 against Carlos Hernandez.
Injuries forced the 32-year-old Brazilian out of several fights so he will be desperate to get back in the Octagon but he has been handed an incredibly tough return.
Filho is an extremely gifted and technical fighter that possesses an impressive skillset. He will set a high tempo right from the start and we can fully imagine that causing Nascimento issues due to his rust.
We are somewhat surprised that Filho is the marginal underdog here and we go with him to get the victory in what could well be a Fight of the Night bout.
Prediction: Jafel Filho to win
