At Fir Park in Scotland last week, Motherwell defeated Havnar Boltfelag, also known as HB or HB Torshavn, by two goals to nil, courtesy of goals in either half scored by Austrian duo Martin Moormann and Lukas Fadinger.
HB Torshavn have never won a European game away from home and their entire hope for this tie was based on still being in it when it came to the second-leg, while Motherwell have not won a European tie since defeating Coleraine in the second qualifying round of the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League.
HB will believe they can win this game but Motherwell will be confident of ensuring a low-scoring encounter that benefits them to get through.
