DC United begin the weekend sitting just about tucked inside the top nine in the Eastern Conference. The home team come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of Toronto last week after earning a creditable 1-1 draw in Texas against Houston Dynamo.
Nashville are still holding off Inter Miami at the top-of-the-table in the Western Conference. The Tennessee-based outfit, headlined by former Nottingham Forest striker Sam Surridge, did succumb to a 1-0 loss to an improved Orlando City side in Florida last weekend.
Nashville weren’t convincing when they returned from the break for FIFA World Cup 2026 with a 1-0 victory over Montreal but they should bounce back enough here to be firm favourites against the inconsistent hosts.
