Cody Brundage: The American somehow finds himself in another UFC contest despite a near .500 professional record

There isn't much to be said about the mediocrity of Cody Brundage (11-9-1, 1 NC) that hasn't been said already at this point in proceedings. Primarily a wrestler with a serviceable straight right in his back pocket, the American simply isn't UFC caliber; there's a strong argument to be made that his record should be even worse in the wake of controversial results against Mansur Abdul Malik, Jacob Malkoun, and Abdul Razak Alhassan where he avoided a loss. It's a terrible look for the promotion that they continue to give him fights, particularly given that Brundage usually gives up and loses if things don't immediately go his way in the opening moments of a fight.

Andre Petroski: Can the TUF veteran snap a two fight losing streak?

Making his first appearance of 2026 following a first round TKO defeat to Cam Rowston last September, Andre Petroski (13-5) enters this match up in need of a win. While he has a reputation as an excellent grappler, the TUF alum is the quintessential unranked wrestle-boxer; Petroski doesn’t do anything spectacular but he doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses either. Standing at 8-4 since making the jump from TUF in 2021, the American typically either wins by decision or loses in brutal fashion; Petroski is particularly notorious for literally KO’ing himself against Jacob Malkoun after running face first into the Aussie’s hip.

Cody Brundage vs Andre Petroski prediction

He’s back!

Despite standing at 1-3-1 across his last five, as well as 5-8-1, 1 NC across his total time in the promotion, Brundage somehow finds himself with another fight as opposed to being unceremoniously cut. He’s 11-9-1, 1 NC in his career overall and is rapidly approaching Artem Lobov territory; hardly the caliber of fighter that one would typically associate with what is purportedly the highest level MMA promotion in the world.

With that being said, it's remarkable that he could actually win this one. While he’s on a three fight losing streak, there’s actually an argument to be made that Brundage showed more in those defeats than Petroski has across his last two. He took Donte Johnson to a split decision in a matchup that had most pundits writing his obituary prior to entering the cage, while Cam Rowston had a much harder time putting him away than he did with Petroski.

This one likely goes one of two ways; Petroski blends his boxing with well-timed bursts of offensive wrestling to earn an uneventful decision victory , or Brundage takes advantage of the TUF alum’s rapidly deteriorating chin to spark him with a straight right out in the open. Both fighters are so inconsistent that either result wouldn’t come as much of surprise, but the tentative pick is still Petroski by decision.

Prediction: Andre Petroski to win by decision
