Navajo Stirling: Can the hyped CKB prospect earn his first UFC stoppage victory?

The latest hyped prospect out of City Kickboxing, 27 year old Navajo Stirling (7-0) puts his undefeated record on the line for the third time in his UFC career this Saturday night. Stirling is 2-0 since arriving in the UFC via the Contender Series, earning unanimous decision victories over Tuco Tokkos and Ivan Erslan respectively. At 6’4 with a 79’ inch, Stirling has the perfect frame for light heavyweight, a state of affairs that he complements with fight-ending power in his hands. However, he has also proven to be somewhat subject to lapses in his judgment and fight IQ at this point in his career.

Rodolfo Bellato: Bellato returns looking to banish the memory of his most recent performance

While he’s technically undefeated in his UFC tenure to date, Rodolfo Bellato (12-2-1) has had one of the more bizarre initial runs in the promotion's history, posting a record of 1-0-1, 1 NC to date. “Trator” decimated Ihor Poteria by TKO in his UFC debut, before rallying to take Jimmy Crute to a draw in his sophomore appearance. Unfortunately for Bellato, the performance that everybody remembers him for is his most recent showing against Paul Craig. “Trator” seemingly feigned unconsciousness after being grazed by an up kick in the hopes of a DQ victory, only for the fight to end in a controversial No Contest.

Navajo Stirling vs Rodolfo Bellato prediction

Entering this match up as the clear favorite, Stirling has showed holes in his game throughout his UFC tenure to date, but the Australian is clearly very technically proficient and hits extremely hard. His output leaves a lot to be desired at times, but when he does land, he typically does a lot of damage to his opponents. Stirling is still extremely green at this point in his career, but there’s undeniable potential for him to develop into a top contender.

By contrast, Bellato’s only win in the UFC has came over Ihor Poteria, a fighter who duly departed the promotion following a 2-6 run that included five stoppage defeats. Outside of that, drawing with Jimmy Crute is commendable but Bellato’s theatrics after being “up kicked” during his No Contest with Paul Craig last time out were decidedly not a good look.

In short, a fighter who unashamedly looks for an easy way out against the Paul Craig of 2025 figures to do poorly against a heavy-handed, hungry, young prospect in his backyard. The City Kickboxing standout either blitzes Bellato with something monstrous on the early goings or pours the damage on for three rounds to walk away with the “W”.

Prediction: Navajo Stirling to win
