Terence Atmane came through a hard-fought encounter against wildcard entry Patrick Kypson in the first round, coming through against the American in three sets. Atmane is hoping for a real breakthrough year, having come through after frustrating early season to defeats to Francesco Maestrelli at the Australian Open and Frances Tiafoe at the Dallas Open.
Flavio Cobolli himself suffered a humbling surprise loss at the first Grand Slam of the year last month, suffering a straight sets lost to Arthur Fery at the John Cain Arena in Melbourne. He has gone on to lose comfortably to compatriot Luciano Nardi in Montpellier before then heading out in the first round to qualifier James Pinnington Jones at the Dallas Open last week.
Cobolli has had a wretched start to the year and is struggling for form so it would be a good value bet to back against the seed and side with Terence Atmane here.
