Scotland vs Greece Prediction

Scotland managed to earn themselves a hard-fought and impressive 1-0 defeat of Greece in the first-leg of this UEFA Nations League League A/B promotion/relegation playoff, thanks to a 33rd minute penalty scored by Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay.

The Scots were enduring a tough run of form over a couple of years, which included a group stage exit at UEFA EURO 2024, but they have been much-improved since mid-way through their UEFA Nations League campaign, only just narrowly missing out on a top two spot and the quarter-finals on goal difference to Croatia.

Greece themselves have also been majorly improved of late under the management of Ivan Jovanovic. Ethniki defeated England by two goals to one in October to record their first ever win over the Three Lions at Wembley Stadium but they eventually finished behind England in League B on the head-to-head record.

Scotland and Greece have both been improving sides in recent years with some impressive attacking talent build on strong defensive records and that would suggest a low-scoring clash is likely.

Scotland vs Greece Tip: Under 3.5 goals
