Fenerbahce have spent heavily this summer and they put in a strong performance in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League as they eased to a comfortable and rather impressive 3-0 aggregate defeat of Austrian outfit Sturm Graz.
With the ownership of Michelle Kang, Olympique Lyonnais steadied themselves and, under the management of Paulo Fonseca, propelled themselves back into the UEFA Champions League with a streamlined and strong squad.
This is perhaps the most intriguing tie on paper but Fener will be the team to be sided with, especially as Lyon suggested they may struggle on the road in Europe with a 2-1 loss to Sparta Prague in Czechia a few weeks ago.
